Wet Dressing

Wet Dressing

The Polymer Business Division developed a high-tech hydrocolloid wet dressing that combines biomaterials and tissue engineering knowledge based on accumulated polymer chemistry technology.

Effects of wet dressing

Dry Wound Dressing, like traditional gauze and disposable bandages, creates a secondary wound when it is removed, such as bleeding, because it dries a wound and it becomes sticky to the wound area. On the other hand, hydrocolloid wet dressing keeps the wound area moist to prevent the formation of scabs, which heals the wound quickly and suppresses scarring.
